Road trial practice!
With the generosity of the Hylers of Houston Dive Dogs (where Capra Dock Dives), we were able to go out to 7IL Ranch for a 6 mile ride to help Capra get in shape to compete in a Road Trial in May at the DCA National Show.

Capra is just starting out on the necessary skills. He's fine with the distance and speed - the 8 miles he ran (according to his tracking collar) was just a good run for him!

He is just starting to build skills - practicing recalling to me from horseback, a sit-stay (or down-stay) while I'm on a horse, and the "hock" command in which the dog maintains a position similar to "heel" when the owner is on foot.
