Capra x Flo: Eight days old

Unfortunately, breeding isn't for the faint of heart. There are many causes of puppy loss - from trauma to infection to everything in between. Puppy loss is most common close to birth and is much less common once the puppies are over 3 weeks old. In this litter, we have lost 3 of the initial 8 puppies.

Puppy loss is just one of many reasons why puppies shouldn't be promised to their families until they are older.

We have 2 black and white females, 2 black and white males, and one liver male surviving.

We should have DNA test results for LUA status soon.
